E's 2nd Birthday Cake and Party Decorations.
On the weekend I hosted many of my family members in a celebration for little E who is turning 2 tomorrow. He loves Iggle Piggle (or Piggle as he likes to call him). Due to the lack of children at E's family DO, I didn't go overboard....just a few Piggly things here and there.

Cute Kids Shirts
I'm always on the lookout for interesting t-shirts for E. Tonight I found this little online store called babybees. These t-shirts are from Eggkids and all of Babybees clothing lines are Swedish and Danish designs.

BIrdies for Charlie!
Here are the little Spool birdies I have made for little Charlie. I think they are going to be just perfect little friends for her to sit on her bookcase.

What a find...Free Postage World Wide!
I love good quality children's books. As an Early Childhood Teacher, picture books have been such a vital part of my day. There is nothing better than seeing the delight in a child's face when you intoduce them to new characters, new places and allow them to escape into the beautiful world of make-believe.
I'm always looking for new books. E could sit and have books read to him all day and little G is already enjoying the vibrant colours of the wonderful illustrations. I've just checked out a new book lovers dream store, The Book Depository.co.uk. Although it is in the UK, postage is free to most places world wide and the prices are great. Check out, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Each Peach Pear Plum, Dear Zoo, and There Was An Old Woman Who Swallowed a Fly....just a few of my favourites!
It's not just about what's inside but how it's packaged!
I love to dress up the gifts that I give to the special little people in my life. Next week my adopted niece (I adopted her from my best friend, before having my own little darlings) turns 3. For this special occasion I dressed up her little present with some handstamped paper and this handmade cupcake card.
Giving gifts to loved ones made from the heart, is such a special thing. I'm hoping to have the time, to also make her a set of the sweet little birds from Spool. Let's hope she loves them as much as E!

The Cutest Little Birdies
I've made these gorgeous little material birds for my little boy's new room. The pattern can be found at Spool.
I'm planning to make a couple more to create a flying bird mobile.
They are just so adorable and my little boy just loves tucking them under his little arm for a cuddle.

Mooo Personalised Canvas!
I love the great decore ideas, fun clothing and play items over at Mooo.com. This month they have a discount on their personalised canvas wall art. I'm redecorating my little boys room...this might be just what I'm after!
Cupcake test run!
I love baking!!!!! If I had the metabolism of a marathon runner, I would have cupcakes and biscuits in my house all day everyday.
For these little beauties I had an excuse......My little boy's 2nd birthday is coming up and I wanted to have a go at using a piping bag. Usually I just use a flat knife and spread the icing on until smooth.
I was really happy with how they turned out...in the end! My first couple had enough icing on them to cover a cricket pitch. I'm hoping to do a bit of piping on the Iggle Piggle cake ...keep watching.
